No one ever starved to death in Highlands! Although no one has called Guinness, with over 16 restaurants within a two square mile area of the center of town it probably boasts more eateries per capita than any other town in the East. The same diversity of mountain and seasonal cultures provides something for everyone, from the "down home" atmosphere of The Rib Place to the elegance of lakeside fine dining at On the Verandah, each with its own charm. Each of these restaurants has something special to offer. Again remember many establishments are open seasonally, so call ahead before making plans.
